Line H of the Transilien departing from Paris Gare du Nord serves 4 termini: Pontoise, Persan-Beaumont, Luzarches, and Creil. It is mostly located in Val-d'Oise and has been in operation since 1846! It has existed under this name and with its current route since 2001. Line H serves 51 municipalities with 46 stations. It now covers the transportation needs of the northern suburbs of Paris. Many stations on the line are wheelchair accessible.

The cross-branch from Pontoise to Creil allows connections with RER C and D as well as Transilien J.

From Gare du Nord, you can access Metro lines 4 and 5, and Line 2 via La Chapelle station. The station is also served by long-distance trains, RER B and D, Transilien K, and nearly 20 bus and Noctilien lines. RER E is accessible via Magenta station.

Saint-Denis station serves RER D and tram lines 1 and 8. At Ermont - Eaubonne and Pontoise stations, RER C and Transilien J are accessible for connections. RER C also shares its route with Transilien H at all stations between Cernay and Pontoise. As for Épinay-Villetaneuse, it is possible to connect to tram T11.

Did you know? Since 2013, Line H of the Transilien has been broadcasting radio messages in real-time to inform passengers about train schedules at the stations. This is an additional source of information to the screens installed at all stations on the line.

Traveling in Île-de-France with Transilien Line H

The branches of Transilien H only serve the northern part of Île-de-France, connected to the capital by Paris - Nord station. A large part of the line runs through parks and forests in the region, along the banks of the Oise River. Many stations on Transilien Line H serve two municipalities at once, providing regular transportation service for thousands of residents of Île-de-France. This is the case, for example, at Sarcelles - Saint-Brice or Montsoult - Maffliers stops.

The largest interchange hub of Transilien Line H is Gare du Nord. It is the busiest station in France and Europe! It allows you to reach all corners of Paris and its suburbs through the Île-de-France transport network, as well as the north of France, England, and other European countries (Belgium, Germany, Netherlands) through long-distance trains. Gare de l'Est, which provides many other connections, is less than 10 minutes away on foot.

Visiting Paris? Step out onto the forecourt of Gare du Nord. Its facade is a historical monument that you can easily admire if you pass through this stop. Outside of Paris, Transilien Line H also serves stations that provide access to many points of interest in the region. For example, Saint-Denis station is a 5-minute walk from L'Île-Saint-Denis and a 5-minute drive from Stade de France. In addition, the thermal baths and casino of Enghien-les-Bains, the Abbey of Maubuisson which houses the Val-d'Oise art center, the Enghien - Soisy racecourse, the beach of Isle d'Adam, and the leisure base of Saint-Leu-d'Esserent are some of the places accessible from the stations served by Transilien H.

Some stations on Line H, such as Belloy - Saint-Martin or Presles - Courcelles, also provide access to hiking trails in nature. Near Luzarches station, you can enjoy numerous outings in the Regional Park, the Botanical Garden, or the park of the Royaumont Abbey.

You can also take advantage of the stops served by Line H to immerse yourself in the history of Île-de-France. For example, from Gros Noyer - Saint-Prix station, you can discover historical monuments such as the church of Vieux Village and the Château de la Chasse in the Montmorency Forest. On the other hand, Ecouen - Ezanville station provides access to the Château d'Ecouen and its National Museum of the Renaissance, near the Chantilly Forest.

Further on, in Auvers-sur-Oise, the history of the town is linked to that of the Impressionist painters. Get off at this station on Line H to see the house and grave of Vincent Van Gogh, the town's museums, the church, and the Château d'Anvers.
