Connect the Châtillon - Montrouge metro station to Viroflay - Rive Droite in about 40 minutes! The T6 tram line was inaugurated and put into service at the end of 2014. The initial route stopped at Robert Wagner; it was extended to its current terminus in 2016.
The T6 tram line extends over 6 municipalities and has 21 stops. The RER C and Transilien N are accessible at Viroflay - Rive Gauche. You can take the Transilien L from or to Viroflay - Rive Droite.
The T6 line allows you to reach Antoine Béclère Hospital, Place du 8 Mai 1945, as well as the Westfield Vélizy 2 shopping center and important employment areas. The T6 tram allows more than 60,000 passengers to reach attractive centers every day, now revitalized by a complete public transport offering.
Culture within reach of the tram: By getting off at Théâtre L'Onde, in the municipality of Vélizy-Villacoublay, you can visit the Maison des Arts and enjoy the artistic and cultural programming of the place.

What is a tramway driver called?
The wattman is the name given to the driver of a tramway. Wattman comes from the word watt, a unit of power used in electricity, the energy source of the tram. Nowadays, this name is no longer used. We would rather say "traminot".
Who invented the tramway?
George Stephenson, a British engineer, invented the tramway in 1832. He designed the first commercially used rail tramway. His invention allowed people to travel more easily and quickly in large cities.

In 2025, there are 14 tramway lines in Île-de-France, 9 of which are operated by the RATP group.
