Gare de l'Est
The Transilien P line has been known by this name since the end of 2004, but its first service dates back to 1849! Today, it serves 45 municipalities in the eastern suburbs of Paris and stops at 36 stations in the Paris region and beyond.
Apart from the RER E, which connects at Chelles Gournay and Tournan, Gare de l'Est is the only station that allows connections to Metro lines 4, 5, and 7, RER lines B, D, and E, as well as lines H and K.
All stations on the P line are equipped with display screens to inform passengers of train schedules and destinations. They also provide real-time information on any disruptions.
Departing from Gare de Paris Est, the Transilien P line serves 5 termini: 4 in Île-de-France: Crécy-la-Chapelle, Coulommiers, Provins, Esbly; 2 in Hauts-de-France: La Ferté-Milon and Château-Thierry.
Did you know? The P line is considered an extension of the RER E, whose terminus is at Chelles Gournay. In fact, some journeys are operated by both the RER E and Transilien between Gare de l'Est and Meaux. These connections allow service to the usual stations on the P line as well as those on the RER E.
