Transilien Lines

The Transilien label was created in 1999, along with the commitment to modernize existing equipment and infrastructure to provide better comfort for passengers. Transilien lines connect the major railway stations in the capital to the suburbs, both in the Petite and Grande Couronne. The trains on the Transilien network operate on the second busiest railway network in the world in terms of passenger traffic, after Tokyo. With 8 lines serving over 400 stations, the Transilien network in Île-de-France allows more than 3 million people to travel each weekday between 5:30 am and 12:30 am.
