Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I use my phone and the application to purchase and validate a ticket?

With the Bonjour RATP app, simplify your life! You can purchase and load your transportation tickets (Navigo passes, packs of t+ tickets, etc.) onto a Navigo card (Option 1) or directly onto your mobile phone (Option 2)*.

Option 1: You can purchase and recharge t+ tickets or Navigo passes onto your Navigo card directly from the Bonjour RATP app, just like you would at a ticket machine in a station. This service is available on iPhone and Android.

Option 2: You can purchase and validate your transportation tickets directly with your smartphone.

To learn more about these two options and how to purchase tickets with the Bonjour RATP app, please refer to our article for more details: Why and how to purchase your transportation tickets with the Bonjour RATP app.

  • What are the different physical Navigo passes on which to load tickets purchased on Bonjour RATP?

Here are the main Navigo passes available on which transport tickets can be loaded:

The Navigo Easy pass (available for €2):

    • Non-nominative
    • Works to load your Ticket t+ (carnet or unit), OrlyBus, RoissyBus, Antipollution Pass, Fête de la Musique, Navigo Jeunes Week-end, and Navigo Jour.

  • How do I purchase a transport ticket in the Bonjour RATP application?

Go to the «Tickets » tab, at the bottom right of the Bonjour RATP application.

    Choose either:

    • "On my pass" if you want to purchase your tickets and load them onto your Navigo pass.

    • "on my iPhone" or "on my phone" (compatible with most iOS or Android phones with NFC*) if you want to store your transport tickets on your phone and validate with it.

    • "on my Apple Watch" (this option is currently not available on Android) if you want to store your transport tickets on your Apple Watch and validate with it.

Select your transport ticket, and if necessary, the date, zones, and quantity.

Good to know: the vibration indicates that the pass is detected by the phone but the reading/writing process continues, so do not move the pass and wait for the visual confirmation from the application before removing your pass (the writing step is necessary to recharge a ticket).

*To load tickets into your NFC phone, you must be able to securely store the tickets. Find all the information on ticket dematerialization in the Help and Contacts section.

  • Can I purchase an annual Navigo pass in the Bonjour RATP app?

The annual Navigo pass is not available for purchase through the Bonjour RATP app. To subscribe to an annual Navigo pass, you can either subscribe online on the Île-de-France Mobilités website or subscribe at an agency (at certain RATP counters and some SNCF Navigo Service counters).

  • Where can I find a Navigo RATP agency?

Your phone is not NFC compatible, and you cannot purchase or load a ticket on a Navigo pass. You still have the option to visit a Navigo RATP agency. There are several hundred RATP ticket counters located throughout Paris and its suburbs.

For example, you can find RATP sales agents at the counters in the following major RER stations and metro stations:

    • Gare du Nord: 110 Rue de Maubeuge (10th district)
    • Saint-Lazare: 106b Rue Saint-Lazare (8th district)
    • Châtelet-les-Halles: 1 rue Pierre Lescot - Forum des Halles (1st district of Paris)
    • Montparnasse - Bienvenüe: 1 Place du Dix-Huit Juin 1940 (6th district) or 3 Rue de l'Arrivée (15th district)
    • Nanterre – Préfecture: 11 Esplanade Charles de Gaulle, 92000 Nanterre
    • Massy – Palaiseau: 108 Avenue Carnot, 91300 Massy
    • Nation: 6 Avenue du Trône (12th district)
    • Charles de Gaulle–Étoile: 2 Avenue de la Grande Armée (17th district)
    • Denfert-Rochereau: 1 Avenue du Colonel Henri Rol-Tanguy (14th district) or 1 Avenue René Coty (14th district)
    • Opéra: Place de l'Opéra (9th district)

Each Navigo RATP agency serves as an information, sales, and support point offering various services. These include: selling transport tickets (Navigo Pass monthly/weekly/daily, single tickets, etc.), subscribing to a pass (Annual Navigo, Navigo Liberté+, etc.), reloading Navigo passes, after-sales service such as reporting loss or theft, replacement, assistance with questions, defective Navigo cards, and more.

Opening hours of RATP ticket counters vary depending on the station or train station. If you simply want to buy a ticket or reload your Navigo card at the station, use the ticket vending machines available on site. They are generally accessible during the opening hours of the relevant RER station or metro station.
