Bicycles and Scooters

The price of a ride with our partners' scooter or bike sharing service includes:

• a fixed vehicle unlocking fee of €1;
• a per-minute rate of up to €0.25/minute.

Minimum fees and promotions may apply. The exact rates are displayed when you scan the vehicle's QR code. Once you have completed your ride, the fees are rounded up to the nearest minute.

Good to know: when you start a ride, the system reserves a fixed amount of €9, also known as pre-authorization. It's a bit like a security deposit: it ensures that you have enough funds on your payment method to cover your ride. As soon as the ride is completed, we cancel this pre-authorization. Please note that the release of this amount may take a few days, depending on your bank. If you have any doubts, feel free to contact them for confirmation.

To rent a scooter or bike with the Bonjour RATP app, it's very simple!

• locate a vehicle either from the app's map or from the result of a route search;
• once next to the vehicle, press the "Scan to unlock" button and scan the vehicle's QR code;
• accept the terms and conditions of sale of Bonjour RATP and the scooter or bike partner;
• confirm the payment... and off you go!

If it's your first ride with Bonjour RATP, you will need to:

• be connected to your Bonjour RATP customer account or create one;
• enable the camera to scan the QR code (if camera activation doesn't work, if you refuse to grant access, or if the camera doesn't decode the QR code, you can manually enter the QR code);
• enable geolocation for parking;
• have a payment card, which you can choose to save for future rides.

If the app displays an error, it is likely due to:

• a vehicle issue: please try again with another vehicle nearby.
• a missing payment method: enter your credit card information.
• a pre-authorization failure: it's possible that the balance of the account associated with the card used is insufficient, so please change your payment card.

To ride safely, follow our tips!

• Be 18 years old or older;
• Do not ride with more than one person per vehicle;
• Stay focused - do not wear headphones, do not check your phone, and do nothing else that could distract us from driving;
• Respect local traffic rules and the requirements of the Highway Code, and be mindful of other vehicles and pedestrians;
• Never ride or park on sidewalks to ensure pedestrian safety;
• Ride on bike paths or greenways when available, otherwise on roads with a maximum authorized speed of 50 km/h or less;
• Do not ride after drinking;
• Wear reflective gear when riding at night and in low visibility (e.g., fog);
• Do not forget to wear a helmet. Even if it is not mandatory in some countries, it is everywhere an essential safety measure. Please note that you are not insured against head injuries if you do not wear a helmet;
• Park according to the parking rules in effect in the city.

As a reminder, failure to comply with traffic rules is subject to a €135 fine.
