The classic "metro ticket" has more than one trick up its sleeve - even in digital format. Sold individually or in a pack of 10, it allows you to take the metro, RER and trains in Paris, the bus and even the funicular of Montmartre. And with dematerialization, no more need for cardboard tickets!
How much does the t+ ticket cost?
After the discontinuation of magnetic ticket booklets, it’s now the turn of the single t+ ticket to bow out.
As of 5 November 2025, it is no longer possible to purchase paper tickets on the bus and tram network, or at any metro or RER station! To replace them, you can choose between the Bus–Tram ticket and the Metro–Train–RER ticket. Both are available in the Bonjour RATP app.

The pack of 10 cardboard t+ tickets is no longer available as of September 21, 2023.
Where to buy t+ tickets?
Single t+ tickets or 10-ticket booklets are no longer available for purchase.
Since January 1, 2025, you have the option to choose between the Bus-Tram ticket or the Metro-Train-RER ticket. These two options are available through the Bonjour RATP* app.
With the app, you can either load them onto a Navigo Easy pass (available for purchase at stations and train stations for €2) or store these tickets directly on your iPhone or Android phone. In the latter case, there's no need for a pass; you will use your phone to validate your tickets at station entrances. How to use the t+ ticket?
The t+ ticket is no longer available for sale.
Below are the specific usage conditions for other transport tickets:
In the metro, RER, and trains throughout Île-de-France
- The Metro-Train-RER Ticket allows travel on all rail networks (metro, train, and RER) except for Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports. All connections between metro, train, and RER modes within zones 1-5 are permitted for 2 hours.
On buses or trams
- The Bus-Tram Ticket allows travel on all bus and tram networks in Île-de-France (except T11, T12, T13). All connections between bus/bus and bus/tram modes, including Noctilien, are permitted for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
On the Montmartre funicular
- On the Montmartre Funicular line, the Metro-Train-RER Ticket allows you to make a single trip (up or down) without any connections.
How to get a reduced rate on the t+ ticket?
The t+ ticket is no longer available for sale.
Furthermore, the following individuals are eligible for a 50% discount on the purchase of their tickets.
- Children, from 4 years old to under 10 years old
- Holders of the Solidarité Transport reduction, holders of certain disability cards, war veterans ...
- Holders of a "Large Family" card
- Groups of at least 10 young people under 16 years old and their accompanying adult or students from middle schools and high schools, including final year, traveling in groups of 10 and accompanied by a teacher*. This reduction is not valid on buses and trams. The accompanying adult must have the completed declaration of honor.
- Groups of at least 8 children and their accompanying adult traveling as part of school, extracurricular or extracurricular outings organized by primary schools or by leisure centers hosted by these schools. The accompanying adult must have the completed declaration of honor.
*The purchase of public transportation tickets in Île-de-France in the Bonjour RATP app is a service provided by Île-de-France Mobilités. Find all the conditions of use for this ticket on the Île-de-France Mobilités website or in the Bonjour RATP app, in the "Tickets" section.

- Will the cardboard t+ ticket disappear?
The sale of the t+ ticket and cardboard booklets of 10 t+ tickets has been discontinued.
- When will the pack of cardboard t+ tickets disappear?
The pack of 10 cardboard t+ tickets will no longer be sold in the fall of 2023.

- October 14, 2021: end of sale of packs of t+ tickets at ticket vending machines in about a hundred stations
- October 13, 2022: end of sale of packs of cardboard t+ tickets at ticket vending machines in approximately 180 additional stations
- September 21, 2023: end of sale of packs of cardboard t+ tickets at all RATP ticket vending machines and ticket offices
- November 5, 2025: end of t+ ticket sales across the bus and tram network, and in all metro and RER stations.
- What are the alternatives to the cardboard t+ ticket?
The ideal solution for occasional travelers and tourists is the Navigo Easy pass. You can load your tickets and packs directly onto this non-nominative pass in the following ways:
- Where and when you want, with the Bonjour RATP app
- At stations on all ticket vending machines or at all ticket offices and counters in stations and train stations
- At authorized RATP retailers
This pass is valid for 10 years. It is sold for €2 and then offers advantageous prices on packs of t+ tickets. You can purchase it at ticket offices and counters in stations and train stations, as well as at all authorized retailers.
Furthermore, with the Bonjour RATP application, you can also use your phone as a ticketing device and validate your tickets directly on the validation terminals. To find out if your iPhone or Android phone is compatible, go to the "Titres" section of the Bonjour RATP application*.
