The first bridge of Neuilly

Until 1609, the only way to cross the river was by boat or ferry. But in 1606, Henri IV and Marie de Médicis almost drowned: their carriage fell into the water during the crossing. To prevent further accidents, the first bridge of Neuilly was then built.
