A history of railways

Before the arrival of the Pereire metro, trains were already well established in the neighborhood! The Pereire brothers contributed to the financing of a large part of the railways in the 19th century. At that time, Boulevard Pereire ran alongside the historic Petite Ceinture railway line, which has now been replaced by the Promenade Pereire park.
