The entrance door of the building

The immense and impressive wrought iron entrance door of the museum was designed by Charles Girault, who was once a designer at an art blacksmith in Cosne. The architect, a graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and winner of the Grand Prix de Rome in 1880, created 34 drawings to achieve this Art Nouveau-inspired floral decor.
