Maison Européenne de la Photographie The world in images

In the heart of the Marais, in Paris's 4th arrondissement, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie — or MEP — invites visitors to discover photography in all its forms. Housed in an elegant private mansion, it presents exhibitions devoted to major names in contemporary photography, as well as young artists and emerging practices.

Its collections, rich with around 20,000 works, offer a panorama of international photographic creation since the 1950s. As you move through the galleries, portraits, landscapes, urban scenes, documentary images, and installations challenge the way we look at the world.

The visit continues in a specialized library, an auditorium, and a bookstore dedicated to imagery. Located on rue de Fourcy, the MEP is an unmissable cultural stop during a stroll through the Marais, close to the Hôtel de Ville and Île Saint-Louis.
