Paris 2024: getting around on the day of the opening ceremony Opened and closed stations on July 26 and alternative transportation options
It's a first in the history of the Summer Games! The opening ceremony, which will mark the inauguration of the Paris 2024 Games on July 26, will take place outside the stadium. The spectacle, which will be held on the river, will feature a parade of 10,500 athletes, following the course of the Seine from east to west for 6 km. The crossing will end in front of the Trocadéro, where the final performances and protocol ceremonies will take place. This already historic event will therefore have an impact on traffic and public transportation. We will tell you everything so that you can plan accordingly.

Legend
- The gray perimeter is reserved for accredited individuals, valid ticket holders, or Games pass holders.
- The red perimeter prohibits motorized vehicle traffic. Only individuals with an exemption will be allowed to circulate. However, pedestrian, cyclist, and scooter movements are allowed without any justification. Cargo bike deliveries will be possible through certain filtering points. For businesses and companies, employees and delivery personnel will be required to provide proof of authorization at the zone entrances.
