Routes to avoid traveler flows to and from competition venues.Millions of travelers are expected to use public transportation for the Paris 2024 Games. This influx of travelers, which is naturally explained by the exceptional nature of the event, is also due to its organization, with numerous competition venues located in the heart of Paris.

The following public transport lines will be the most crowded as they provide access to the majority of competition venues.

How to avoid routes serving competition venues and minimize crowding?
To avoid routes serving competition venues and the associated high crowds, visit the Bonjour RATP app. When searching for routes, you will be offered new options:
- Routes with the least crowding
- Routes with more walking
- And routes with other modes of transportation such as Dott, Lime, and TIER bikes available for rent directly in the Bonjour RATP app. Click here to learn how to take advantage of this.
These routes are indicated in the app's search results with dedicated icons.
Getting to the competition venues
Dedicated routes to reach or leave the competition venuesIf, on the other hand, you want to reach or leave a competition venue, the Bonjour RATP teams have also thought of you. Two new features, identifiable in the app by their pink icons in the colors of the Paris 2024 Games, are now available:
- Simplified search for competition venues: Don't have the exact address of the competition venue you need to go to? Don't worry, the competition venues and events are now available as suggestions in the default route search of the Bonjour RATP app. If you need to go to the Trocadéro to attend an athletics event, simply type Trocadéro. Bonjour RATP will suggest the competition venue without you having to provide its exact location.
- Public transport routes taking into account the crowd: Once you launch your route search, Bonjour RATP will offer dedicated routes, Paris 2024 Games to the competition venues, recommended by Île-de-France Mobilités. The proposed routes aim to ensure real-time, optimal distribution of spectators among different lines to limit crowd congestion and waiting times.
Good practice: However, remember to leave early if you need to attend a competition!
Stay informed
Real-time information and regular updates to keep you informed about traffic updatesYou will also find in the Bonjour RATP app regular information about the state of traffic on the network.

Tip: Remember to check your Bonjour RATP app daily, as key information will be highlighted on the app's homepage throughout the duration of the Games, along with other Bonjour RATP features that may be useful this summer, such as bike rentals, ticket purchases, and dedicated maps to reach the competition venues.
Locate the restricted traffic areas
A map updated daily with the restricted traffic areasAs you know, restricted traffic areas have been implemented to ensure the safety of everyone during the Paris Games and to regulate movement around the competition venues for better crowd management. These areas will evolve daily based on the sporting events.
Good to know: These areas primarily impose restrictions on motorized vehicles, so we encourage you to prioritize alternative modes of transportation available in the Bonjour RATP app.
