The oldest meteorological station in France

Installed since 1873 in Parc Montsouris, the Montsouris station has been continuously recording meteorological parameters for over 140 years. The technical services of Météo France moved to Saint-Mandé (Val-de-Marne) in 2011, but the measuring instruments continue to transmit their data remotely. The historical heat record from 1947, with just over 40°C, was surpassed in July 2019 with 42.6°C.
