Roissybus End of the RoissyBus shuttle service to Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport

Conveniently, the RoissyBus shuttle provided a direct bus connection between Paris-Opéra station and Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport. In just one hour, the RoissyBus served the center of Paris and all three terminals of the airport.

End of the RoissyBus shuttle service

The largest airport in the capital, Paris Charles de Gaulle, owes its second name “Roissy Airport” to its location. Situated in the town of Roissy-en-France, it is about 25 km northeast of the center of Paris.

Inaugurated in 1992, the RoissyBus enabled millions of travelers to travel directly between Paris and CDG, and vice versa. For decades, it was a convenient choice. In fact, it was the only shuttle line serving all terminals of the airport. On 28/02/2026, the RoissyBus will close permanently. This decision is part of the reorganization of airport connections, which aims to offer faster and more suitable alternatives for passenger traffic. The frequent delays of the RoissyBus were a problem for travelers, due to the regular congestion on the A1 motorway and the difficulties accessing the center of Paris.

Alternatives to RoissyBus

Here are the alternatives to the RoissyBus shuttle for reaching Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport:

RER B

  • The RER B remains a direct and frequent connection from the center of Paris, especially from Gare du Nord or Châtelet-Les Halles.
  • Good to know 💡: Do you have a monthly or annual Navigo pass? You won’t need an additional ticket to use the RER B.

Express Line 9517, a new alternative based on recent network improvements
