Navigo reimbursement 2026: compensation conditions for lines J and L New compensation campaign starting September 15, 2026
Given the scale and duration of the disruptions experienced by travelers on lines Transilien J and L from May to July 2026, a new reimbursement campaign will begin on September 15, 2026 for Navigo subscribers.
Do you regularly use these lines? You may be affected. Here's how to find out if you are eligible, and how to submit your reimbursement request.
Which lines and stations are affected by the 2026 refund?
The lines affected by this campaign are the Transilien lines .
💡 All stations are affected, with the exception of Paris Saint-Lazare, Pont-Cardinet and La Défense, which are served by other lines in the network.
From May to July 2026, these two lines departing from Paris Saint-Lazare were indeed heavily disrupted due to:
- part of the rolling stock being immobilized following a rail defect that damaged the wheels of some trains; this issue led to repeated train cancellations over several weeks, and line J was particularly affected between April 20 and the end of May
- trainsets usually assigned to line L being mobilized as reinforcement on line J, reducing the number of trains available on line L, particularly between the end of April and the beginning of July
- the late-June storm, which caused a complete service interruption between Poissy and Les Mureaux from June 28 to July 5, heavily impacting the entire line J.
How much will you be reimbursed?
- Navigo subscribers on
: reimbursement equivalent to one month of a Navigo pass (€90.80)
- Navigo subscribers on
: reimbursement equivalent to half a month of a Navigo pass (€45.40)
💡 The amount is calculated based on the full price of a standard Navigo pass (full month). If you receive employer reimbursement (minimum 50%, up to 75%) or benefit from a reduced fare, your Navigo pass then costs you €45.40 per month or less. For a line J subscriber, the reimbursement therefore actually covers two months of a Navigo pass, or more.
How to submit your refund request?
The process should be completed 100% online on the Île-de-France Mobilités compensation platform. The platform opens on September 15, 2026.
As of the date of the latest press release (July 21, 2026), the precise refund terms were not yet known. This article will be updated regularly with the latest published information.
