A voice assistant to meet which needs?
Imagine yourself in a metro station or simply walking down the street, surrounded by a crowd, searching for the best route to quickly reach your destination. Whether you’re in a hurry or worried about being jostled, typing a route search can be stressful, and for some of us, even challenging due to accessibility issues.
For all these reasons, our team is now offering a new service: a voice assistant to try out in preview! In short, instead of typing your destination or departure address (if you haven’t enabled geolocation), you just need to speak. Convenient, isn’t it?
Dites simplement « Quel est le meilleur itinéraire pour aller à [destination] en bus ? » et laissez l'assistant vocal de Bonjour RATP vous guider.
This feature is currently only available on iOS in French and in beta version.
How to try out this new assistant?
Bêta version available in French and on iOS
To try the first version of this new service in preview, it’s very simple.
- Update your Bonjour RATP app (French version)
- Allow access to your phone’s microphone and voice recognition
- And you’re all set, our assistant is listening: just speak to start your route search by tapping the microphone icon, available in the search bar on the home page of your Bonjour RATP app. For example, say "How do I get to Bastille by metro?" or "Give me the best route to Puteaux by tram from Porte de Versailles."
