A station for two cities

The RER station of Nogent - Le Perreux connects two municipalities with a strong historical link! Originally, Le Perreux-sur-Marne was a neighborhood of Nogent-sur-Marne. The station was built in 1857 to accommodate the railway line between Paris and Mulhouse. From its construction, it allowed Nogent-sur-Marne to develop rapidly, mainly in the Perreux neighborhood. The city was very popular with Parisians who came to relax on the banks of the river. It was in 1887 that Le Perreux-sur-Marne finally became an independent municipality. Since then, the station located at this border serves both cities. The old building of the RER station of Nogent - Le Perreux was demolished in 1983 to be replaced by the current station that has been serving the RER E since 1999.

Between city centers and green spaces

The station is surrounded by a few restaurants and a residential area, a 5-minute walk from the city center of Nogent-sur-Marne, and 10 minutes from the city center of Le Perreux-sur-Marne. You will have easy access to several municipal facilities, such as the House of Associations and Citizenship, a sports complex, and the cemetery of Le Perreux. Looking for outings and shopping? The cinema, theater, restaurants, shops, and the market of the city center of Nogent are all within a 10-minute walk from the RER station of Nogent - Le Perreux. Planning a cultural outing? Allow between 10 and 15 minutes to reach the Intercommunal Museum of Nogent-sur-Marne and the Fort of Nogent. Finally, if you prefer to take a walk in nature, head to the Parc des Artistes which allows you to reach the Chemin de l'Île de beauté along the river or head towards the Port of Nogent.

A future connection

The Nogent - Le Perreux station is currently only served by the RER. But change is coming: the station will be transformed in a few years to offer a brand new connection! Work is underway to accommodate Line 15 of the metro by 2030. This project is part of the Grand Paris Express project, which is developing new metro lines throughout the Greater Paris Metropolitan Area. The station will therefore become a hub for connections between the RER E, the metro, and the bus lines serving both municipalities.
