What do the Metro-Train-RER and Bus-Tram Tickets allow, and for what duration?
1) The Metro-Train-RER Ticket
The Metro-Train-RER Ticket allows travel across all rail networks (metro, train, and RER) except for Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports.
All transfers are allowed between the metro, train, and RER modes in zones 1-5 for 2 hours.
Note: To make a transfer between a metro and a bus or tram, you will need two tickets (1 Metro-Train-RER ticket + 1 Bus-Tram ticket).
2) The Bus-Tram Ticket
The Bus-Tram Ticket allows travel across all bus and tram networks in Île-de-France (except T11, T12, T13).
All transfers are allowed between bus/bus and bus/tram modes, including Noctilien, for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Note: initially, the Metro-Train-RER ticket will be required to travel on the express tram lines (T11, T12, and T13) for technical compatibility reasons with the validation terminals. Eventually, it will be the Bus-Tram ticket that will allow travel on the express tram lines in Île-de-France.
Some restrictions:
- Round trips with the same Metro-Train-RER ticket or Bus-Tram ticket are not allowed.
- On the Montmartre Funicular line, the Metro-Train-RER Ticket allows for a trip (up or down) without any transfers.
- The Metro-Train-RER ticket cannot coexist with the old t+ tickets or the Paris Region <> Airports ticket on the same device.
