How do I validate a ticket using an Android mobile phone?
If you have a valid ticket (ticket, Navigo pass, etc.) on your Android mobile phone, you can use it to travel.
To validate a ticket, you need to:
- Have a valid ticket (date and zone) loaded on your Android mobile phone;
- Activate NFC (check in the settings of your Android mobile phone;
- In stations, present the back of the mobile phone (turned on and possibly unlocked) on the contactless reader target. The Bonjour RATP application does not need to be launched to validate at the gates.
A tip: the mobile phone case or protective cover can sometimes prevent validation. It is then necessary to remove the mobile phone case.
Note: it is possible that when validating, your phone may ask you to connect to the mobile network (3G/4G/5G, WIFI). A connection to the service is required at least once every 72 hours to ensure proper functioning (for example, if you have stayed in "Airplane mode" during this entire period).
Good to know: you can view your validation history from the Bonjour RATP app in the "Tickets" tab.
The validation history provides you with the same data (from the validation terminals used) as on the screen used by the inspector. It only shows the last three validations made with your phone. The data is anonymous and is not linked to any identity or geolocation. A fourth validation erases all traces of the first.
Encountering a problem with validation? Please contact the IDFM customer service exclusively through the Bonjour RATP application by clicking on the button below, then on "Customer Service". Contacting the customer service of IDFM requires having or creating an IDFM Connect account.
