How do I ride a Dott, Lime or Voi bike?
Perform a safety check
Before riding a bike, here are the elements that need to be checked:
- The lights are working;
- The wheels are in good condition and the tires are inflated to the correct pressure;
- The brakes are working;
- The saddle is adjusted to your height: to raise or lower the saddle, open the side clamp or press and hold the lever under the seat, then apply pressure or pull the saddle to the desired height;
- There are no loose wires or visible damage on the bike;
- The bike's battery has enough charge for your ride;
- Your mobile phone has enough battery to complete your ride.
If something appears damaged or is not functioning correctly, you can report it.
Start your bike ride
Once you have checked the condition of the bike:
- Scan the QR code or enter it manually;
- Make sure you have raised the kickstand so that it is no longer touching the ground;
- On some bikes, you will also need to make sure you have removed the lock ;
- To start the electric assistance, get on the bike and pedal a few times to gain some speed;
- Press both brake levers to brake - do not use your feet!;
- Avoid sudden braking and acceleration on smooth and slippery surfaces.
Finish your ride
- Always finish your ride in an authorized parking area;
- Once you are in an authorized parking spot, press "Close";
- Use the kickstand to keep your vehicle upright;
- Don't forget to put the lock back on: If the lock's rod or cable doesn't fit, roll the bike slightly forward and try again. You should hear it click.
When using a bike or scooter, always follow our recommendations. Failure to comply with these instructions may result in a fine in accordance with the current rules. So make sure you are familiar with them before starting your ride.
