Drop-off zone At Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport
Drop-off zones allow passengers to be dropped off directly in front of their departure terminal in a few moments, or to be picked up upon arrival. Paris Charles de Gaulle airport has several drop-off zones along the route for private drivers and VTCs. How to access them and what are the drop-off prices at CDG? We explain everything!
Getting to the drop-off zones at CDG
The car is one of the most commonly used means of transportation to get to Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). To facilitate traffic upon arrival at the airport, several areas are provided: taxi stands, short and long-term parking lots, and drop-off zones for quick passage. Parking is strictly prohibited outside of these areas.
You will find the drop-off zones at CDG in front of all the airport terminals. Once you arrive, simply follow the signage: the drop-off zones are indicated by orange signs.
With the exception of Terminal 2E, which has a dedicated "Arrivals Minute" zone and a zone for departures, all the drop-off stops at Roissy are accessible for both departures and arrivals of passengers.
Rates and duration of parking in the drop-off zones
The CDG drop-off parking lots are intended solely for quickly dropping off passengers and luggage in front of the terminal of your choice. The intended duration for this type of stop is 10 minutes. Beyond that, the drop-off is chargeable and limited to a maximum duration of 90 minutes.
| Parking Duration | Rate |
|---|---|
| Less than 10 min | Free parking |
| 15 min | €5 |
| 30 min | €20 |
| 45 min | €35 |
| 1h30 | €80 |
Unlike the airport parking lots, there is no reduced rate for people with reduced mobility in the drop-off zones. It is not possible to park for longer periods in a CDG drop-off parking lot. If you are unsure of the duration of your visit to the airport, we recommend choosing the airport's regular parking lots instead of the drop-off stops.
Parking at the airport for a short duration
In each of the terminals at Roissy Charles de Gaulle, you will also find a covered parking lot. These parking lots, intended for short and long-term parking, are easily accessible and are also free for the first 10 minutes! You can therefore use them as a convenient drop-off point.
Luggage carts are available in the terminal parking lots, and a free shuttle service is provided for all passengers to move between terminals or to reach many hotels in the area.
If you exceed the 10-minute parking limit, the parking fee is lower than the drop-off rates. For one hour of parking, for example, expect to pay €8 for economy parking, €9 for regular parking, and €50 for drop-off parking.
