Registration procedures At Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport

Registration is a mandatory step before any flight. You will find the registration areas at Roissy Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport in each terminal, near the control areas leading to the boarding gates. Depending on your airline, there are three ways to register before your flight.

Counter registration

Go to the registration area dedicated to your flight. It is indicated on the information screens in the terminal. At the counter, you will be greeted by an agent who will handle the formalities and check in your checked baggage.

Self-service kiosk registration

Self-service kiosks are available in all terminals of Charles de Gaulle airport. They allow you to check in as early as 5 hours before your flight departure. Enter your information to obtain a boarding pass and baggage tags. You can then drop off your tagged luggage in the baggage drop-off area.

Online registration

Many airlines now offer online check-in, accessible several days in advance. Print your own boarding pass. If you have checked baggage, you can then present it at the Roissy check-in counter.

What time to arrive at Roissy CDG airport for registration?

Check-in counters and baggage drop-off usually open between 2 hours and 30 minutes to 1 hour before the flight departure. The check-in deadline at Roissy CDG also varies depending on your airline and destination: between 40 and 90 minutes before takeoff.

Our advice: Airport queues are often long. It is advisable to arrive at Charles de Gaulle airport at least 2 to 3 hours in advance. We particularly recommend arriving well in advance for long-haul flights and during peak periods, such as school holidays.
