Rugby World Cup 2023 Whether you are a rugby fan or not, here is the information to facilitate your travel

Near the Stade de France and the Rugby Villages, traffic may be heavier than usual. Remember to check the traffic status before you travel, and click on the map below to see the lines serving the key locations during the World Cup. Also consider taking the bus: many lines also serve these stops. To go to the Stade de France by bus, for example, take lines 139, 153, 170, 173, 239, 253, 255, 302, 353, or at night, the Noctilien buses N44 and N143.

Good to know: To not miss the start of the match, at the stadium or at home, save time by buying your tickets directly in the application Bonjour RATP! Attention when traveling on the RER, the Stade de France RATP zone is not included in the price of the regular t+ ticket. Buy RER tickets for the Stade de France, or have a valid Navigo pass for zone 2.

Concert or match tickets for the Stade de France indicate the gate through which you will access your seat. You can therefore choose public transportation that will take you closest to your gate:

• Gates Z, A, B, C, D, E, G, and H: RER B. Get off at La Plaine – Stade de France. It is the closest station to the Stade de France.
• Gates J, K, L, N, R, S, T, and U: Metro line 13 or tramway T8. Get off at Saint-Denis Porte de Paris.
• Gates X, Y, T, U, and Z: RER D. Get off at Stade de France – Saint-Denis.

If you arrive by bus, the Pont du Canal stop is the closest to the Stade de France. It is served by bus lines 153, 239, 255, 353, and by the Noctilien N44. This stop is located northwest of the stadium, near gates K, L, N, R, S, and T.

Good to know: Plan to arrive well in advance and to avoid peak hours, choose the "comfortable" journeys indicated in the table above!

At the end of the event, you can return from the Stade de France using the same route. Train frequencies are increased to facilitate the exit from the stadium. Just follow the signs indicating your RER station or metro station.

RER B and D and metro lines 12 and 13 operate until around 12:40 am. Metro line 13 is extended until 1:40 am on Fridays and Saturdays. At night, between approximately 12:30 am and 5:30 am, the Noctiliens also replace regular buses.

To pass the time until the kick-off of the opening match of the Rugby World Cup 2023 « France - New Zealand », RATP invites you to the « Rugby Park » from September 5th to 8th, 2023 at Auber RER station

In an open space, in the heart of Auber station, over 250 m2 and entirely dedicated to rugby, the Rugby Park will allow travelers to learn about rugby for 4 days through fun and interactive workshops:

• A passing workshop to learn the art of handling the oval ball
• A lineout workshop to practice throwing the ball into play
• A quiz workshop to discover the countries competing in the tournament.

The Rugby Park program also includes:

• Tuesday, September 5th and Friday, September 8th: a course to discover rugby through numerous workshops, offered by the Ile-de-France Rugby League
• Wednesday, September 6th and Thursday, September 7th: an introduction to wheelchair rugby - experience another form of rugby with players from the French wheelchair rugby team. Dynamic, strategic, and fast-paced, wheelchair rugby is played with a specific manual wheelchair and can be enjoyed at any age
• Friday, September 8th: an exclusive autograph session with POUPARD, the illustrator of the Rugbymen comic book.

So that the world of rugby has no more secrets for you... see you from September 5th to 8th, 2023, every day from 12pm to 6pm.

 

 

In addition, RATP will offer its travelers and rugby fans during the World Cup:

• A photo exhibition of the best moments from the Rugby World Cups since 1987 at the Nation RER station
• Makeup sessions before the 10 matches at the Stade de France in the Saint Denis Porte de Paris (M13) and Front Populaire (M12) metro stations

RATP is the official supporter of the Rugby World Cup 2023, which will take place in France from September 8th to October 28th, 2023, confirming our long-standing commitment to supporting French sports, rugby, and major sporting events.

The company will contribute to the promotion of this global sports event during the 51 days of competition. Supporters from around the world will use the RATP-operated network, on behalf of Ile-de-France Mobilités, to travel to the Stade de France, where 10 Rugby World Cup France 2023 matches will be held, as well as to the Rugby Villages set up at Place de la Concorde (Paris) and in Saint Denis.
