It is with these words, among others, that the press reported on September 17th the presentation of the tariff reform for public transport tickets, unveiled the day before by Valérie Pécresse, the President of Île-de-France Mobilités. Objectives: simplify the fare structure and encourage occasional travelers to use public transport more frequently.
The reform, which will take effect on January 1st, goes beyond simple tariff changes. It will introduce new flat-rate transport tickets for travel throughout Île-de-France. It will also involve the modification of existing tickets and the gradual phasing out of certain tickets, such as magnetic tickets (made of cardboard).

The transport tickets that are changing with the tariff reform
Three transport tickets will undergo changes with the tariff reform: the Paris Visite pass, the Navigo Jour pass, and the Liberté+ pass. We will detail all the changes below.
Paris Visite Pass
This pass was created to meet the needs of tourists. It allows unlimited travel throughout Île-de-France, including airport zones, and on all modes of transport. It can be loaded onto a Navigo Easy card, available for purchase at the station for €2, or directly on your phone or smartwatch through mobility apps like Bonjour RATP (loading onto a Navigo Easy card or directly on your phone or smartwatch). This pass cannot be transferred to another person.

Navigo Jour Pass
Starting from January 1st, 2025, the Navigo Jour pass will be offered as a dated individual pass at a fixed price of €12. You will be able to travel throughout Île-de-France, excluding airport zones, on all modes of transport except OrlyVal, RoissyBus, OrlyBus, and to the Orly and CDG Roissy Airport stations served respectively by Metro line 14 and RERB.
Navigo Jour Pass: Fares
The Navigo Jour pass will be sold individually, at full fare. There will be no volume discount offered for multiple ticket purchases, nor reduced fare.

The transport tickets that will gradually disappear
Some transport tickets will no longer be sold starting from January 1st, 2025. However, rest assured that if you still have some of these tickets after this date, you can still use them until end of year, 2025 except on lines and stations that no longer accept magnetic validation.
Disappearance of t+ tickets and cardboard Origin-Destination tickets
The discontinuation of magnetic ticket sales, which began a year ago with the end of t+ ticket book sales, will be gradually implemented by 2026. Individual t+ tickets and cardboard Origin-Destination tickets will no longer be sold starting from January 1st, 2025, except in a few stations that do not yet have ticket machines or ticket offices offering Navigo Easy cards.
Disappearance of the Navigo Jeunes WE pass and Orly Airport and Roissy Airport (CDG1 and CDG2) tickets
The Navigo Jeunes WE pass and the Orly Airport and CDG Airport tickets will no longer be available for sale with the tariff reform. You will not find them for sale after January 1st, neither at the stations nor in the mobile apps that offer the ticket purchasing service of Île-de-France Mobilités, such as the Bonjour RATP app.
