Opening of a new transit line between Créteil and Villeneuve-Saint-Georges Starting December 13, 2025, a cable car—the C1—will directly connect the cities of Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, Limeil-Brévannes, and Valenton to Metro Line 8 at Créteil – Pointe du Lac.

Opening Hours:
- Monday to Saturday: First departure at 5:30 am and last departure at 12:12 am (last arrival at 12:34 am)
- Sundays and public holidays: First departure at 6:30 am and last departure at 11:59 pm (last arrival at 12:21 am)
Service Frequency:
The frequency will vary throughout the day, ranging from every 22 seconds during peak hours to a maximum of every 30 seconds during off-peak hours.
Which tickets or travel passes can be used?
The C1 cable (or aerial tramway) is classified in public transport industry jargon as a Surface mode. In order to use the C1 cable car/tramway, you must have one of the following transport tickets:

A Bus-Tram ticket, or

A Navigo pass.
Please note: If you arrive by Bus at La Pointe du Lac, please use the outdoor route instead of going through the metro to reach the C1 cable car. Otherwise, you will needlessly pay for a Metro-Train-RER ticket. See our maps below.

- At night, the entire line is monitored and checked
- Every morning, the operator checks all safety conditions before giving the green light
- 10 days of annual closure are scheduled for major maintenance. Replacement buses will be provided during these periods.
- Why wasn’t the C1 cable car extended all the way to the RER D station in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges?
This extension was ruled out because studies showed that it would have a very significant impact on the urban environment.
To reach the RER D station at Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, you can take bus 427 (formerly J1 and J2), which will serve the Câble C1 stations La Végétale in Limeil-Brévannes and Villa Nova in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges. - Quelles correspondances seront possibles entre le Câble C1 et le réseau de transport en commun actuel ou à venir ?
The Câble C1 will allow for the following connections:
- At Pointe du Lac station: Metro 8 and Buses 23, 117, 393, 428
- At Limeil-Brévannes station: Bus 430

- At Villa Nova station: Buses 427, E
